Oh, so THAT’S where the centre spot is! New markings are such a help.
Those of you who don’t get round the back of the school very often may not have registered the ENORMOUS multi-sports installation that appeared in November, paid for by our Awards for All Big Lottery Grant.
Even if you have seen it, you might not have witnessed the lively use it was getting today, so take a look.
Congratulations to all of you for your involvement, without which none of this would be possible: there’s been a lot of fundraising and a lot of fun.
Take a look! While the fairy lights are still lit, there’s time to enjoy a little bit more Christmas…
Let the good times roll, and keep rolling!
A lot of fun and good fundraising were to be had at school on Friday, with heroes large and small turning out for Children in Need.
Children in Need brought out the hero in everyone – including our top team at the gate.
The cake sale and face painting after school were mobbed (in a good way!). Thanks to everyone who contributed: your efforts raised a total of £577.00 for the charity – an excellent result.
Meanwhile, in assembly that day, the HSA was proud to hand over a significant sum for improvements to the infants’ playground this Spring. That £6,000 is a result of a lot of very hard work and generosity from children, staff and families. Well done everyone!
From heroes to zeros – and plenty of them! HSA members were happy to hand over £6,000 raised for the infants’ playground.
After all that hard work, what about some playtime? Don’t be surprised if you recognize a fair few TPS families at this event at the Dome (underneath the Boston pub) next Sunday afternoon – 24th November.
Friday 15th November – this Friday – is Children in Need day. The school is contributing in various fun ways, including a “Dress as your hero” day for all children and staff (£1 donation to join in).
Mmmm… who bought these?
There’s also a CAKE SALE after school so please bring in your baked goods for this good cause.
Perseus and Ursa classes did fantastically with their cake sale before half term, raising £156.46 to split between the two classes. Thanks to everyone who baked, brought and bought.
Let’s do just as well – or better! – for Children in Need this Friday.
Bingo novices and old hands got together for a fantastic fun night in the school hall yesterday. Now if we can only get the kids to concentrate that hard…
The focus! You could’ve cut the air with a knife.
And there were winners…
But you didn’t have to win to have a good time. Really.
Of course, a little woo-woo helps.
He’s the only guy who stayed calm in the whole place.
Thanks to everyone who came and everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. It was great!
Have a good half term… and come back to Christmas party planning at the Tufnell Park Tavern, 8:00pm on Wednesday 6 November. See you there!
A last minute dash on sponsorship brought the total raised by our Fun Runs to £3,202.50 by the time online donations closed on Saturday. That’s a truly incredible effort! You’ll see it spent on some great playground installations, probably during the autumn term – we’ll keep you posted.
Tufnell Park kids – you are amazing!!!
View more pictures of the day.
At our sponsored Fun Runs in June, Tufnell Park School kids of every age ran a total of 3,742 laps – that’s further than London to Glasgow… and we’ve got the pictures to prove it.
Check out pictures of Saturday’s Fair – plus more with our MASSIVE list of organizations that helped. We can’t thank you enough.
He’s planning to eat the lot, isn’t he?
Ramping up the tension – the raffle draw and auction at the end of a long, hot day
The sunshine was a perfect incentive to bob for apples and strawberries!
Looking surprisingly happy, under the circumstances…
Do you fancy the rat’s chances against this well-armed angel?
Thanks a million to everyone who contributed to an absolute scorcher of a summer fair yesterday. So many people and local businesses gave their time, effort, goods and goodwill to make it all happen, and it paid off 100-fold.
More pictures to come!
