Bursting with Christmas promise… the gorgeous 2014 hamper will add several special somethings to someone’s Christmas Day.
It’s Winter Wonderland tomorrow, your last chance to buy tickets for this year’s Christmas raffle. Don’t forget to turn in your cash and stubs, and to bring back any unsold tickets from the children’s PACT folders. We’ll sell them at the party.
As well as a Kindle Fire, fantastic theatre tickets and a cash prize, take a look at what’s fourth on the list: the luxury hamper, which will go home with some lucky winner after assembly on Monday 15th. It’s got panettone, preserves and nibbles, two kinds of bubbly, a £20 voucher for premium butcher Meat NW5 and (most important of all?) some lovely Molton Brown hand cream for your Xmas washer-up. For just 50p, that’s quite a win.
Santa’s bought his: time to bring in your stubs.
Gather round a warm Kindle this Christmas with the Tufnell Park raffle…
…or switch off the screen and take yourselves out for a great night at the theatre.
Yours for 50p – if it’s the right 50p.
Everyone with a child at Tufnell Park School will have had a book of raffle tickets in their PACT folder last Friday. That’s Step One: to be in with a chance of winning, you have to buy them!
Completed stubs and cash should be returned to the school by Friday 12th December and the draw will be held on Monday 15th at morning assembly.
Our beautiful school calendar will be on sale at the school gates shortly – and it really is beautiful. Once again, it has been generously sponsored by local property agents Drivers & Norris, who have been fantastic supporters of our school for several years. They’re covering the print costs, so all takings go direct to the HSA to be spent for the benefit of your children.
You’ll need to hurry, though – we’ve got just 150 copies to sell…
The children have done us proud with a gorgeous 2015 calendar, going on sale shortly.
Sometimes the grass is greener on this side of the fence.
It seems the judges at the Society of Garden Designers are mighty impressed by our beautiful Infants’ Playground, and they’ve shortlisted Jackie Herald’s fantastic design in the Community Space category. The ceremony is in January – but with only three finalists, we can’t go home without bronze, silver… or gold.
THE SHORTLISTED GARDENS ARE:
- Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Courtyard Garden
- Tufnell Park School Infants Playground
- Willow Wood Hospice Sensory Garden
It’s less than two weeks until this year’s Summer Fair: so much has been done and so much still to do…! We’re still sourcing prizes large and small for the Tombola – bring your donations to school reception – and the donation of a majestic raffle prize or lot for the silent auction is welcome any time.
Speaking of the silent auction: this is where our parent community’s skills and services go down particularly well. Can you do a marvellous manicure? Bake a splendid cake? Spare some time to babysit? Show a (kid) visitor round your workplace? Teach an hour’s guitar?
Other families out there may well donate CASH to the school for your effort, so please… be bold and offer.
Loads of people have come forward to offer help for preparation and on the day, which is really fantastic. We can always use more!
Email the HSA any time to let us know that you’re available and willing to take a slot running a stall at the fair, to help set up, to take raffle tickets and posters round to local shops… We’ll be happy to hear from you.
We’re out of raffle tickets because of a problem with printing! Extra tickets will arrive at school shortly. To give everyone a chance to buy, we’ve delayed the draw for two days until Wednesday 18th December. Very sorry if anyone is inconvenienced by the change.
“Sorry, son, you’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out about that Nintendo…”
Christmas raffle tickets are ready – at school reception, at the gate and in the PACT folders on Friday! For just £1, you’ve got the chance to win…
Over £100-worth of Nintendo DS2 – it’s first prize in the Christmas Raffle!
Canon Powershot A2500 in Tufnell Park red…
…and yummy Christmas treats a bit like this lot!
…as well as theatre tickets, meals in local restaurants, gift vouchers and a gorgeous chocolate Christmas cake baked specially for us by the delightful Bunny Little’s Bakery – imagine!
And speaking of things to buy, have you snapped up one of our beautiful school calendars yet? They’re available for £5 at the school gate while stocks last. Every class has made a page and they really are lovely, plus TPS term dates for 2014 are ready-entered for you – so useful.
Children interpreted their class names for our beautiful 2014 calendar
Bingo novices and old hands got together for a fantastic fun night in the school hall yesterday. Now if we can only get the kids to concentrate that hard…
The focus! You could’ve cut the air with a knife.
And there were winners…
But you didn’t have to win to have a good time. Really.
Of course, a little woo-woo helps.
He’s the only guy who stayed calm in the whole place.
Thanks to everyone who came and everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. It was great!
Have a good half term… and come back to Christmas party planning at the Tufnell Park Tavern, 8:00pm on Wednesday 6 November. See you there!
Check out pictures of Saturday’s Fair – plus more with our MASSIVE list of organizations that helped. We can’t thank you enough.
He’s planning to eat the lot, isn’t he?

£100 is the second prize…
…and for 3rd prize, you can feast on something like this.
