Re-live the Hat Parade: gallery now open

Waiting at the Window

No more waiting – your moment on stage has arrived.

The springtime keeps trying to break through the grey… But if it still can’t come fast enough for you, warm up with a browse through the sunny spectacular that is the Tufnell Park Annual Easter Hat Parade: click here for the full gallery.

Meanwhile, the HSA is already looking forward to summer.  The first Summer Fair Planning meeting is on Friday 29th April at 2:00pm at school.  Please come along if you possibly can. Or, if you can’t, contact us to feed in your ideas/ comments/ offers of help. “Cowboys & Cowgirls” is the theme we’re working with…

Straight after the meeting that day, you’ll be able to refresh yourselves and your children at the sale of sweet & savoury snacks on behalf of all the infants’ classes. Please contribute goodies if you can, particularly if your children are in years 1 and 2… and please consider giving 30 minutes of your time to jump behind the stall and help. Tracey and Gregor, parents of Clara in Cygnus, have nobly volunteered as HSA Fundraising Friday co-ordinators for the rest of this school year, and would be very glad of your support.

Finally, one less thing to worry about.  Your dinner this Wednesday 20th April is sorted: dine with the HSA at the Tufnell Park Tavern from 8:00pm.  By popular demand, it’s a super-casual drinks and eats social for all parents and carers at the school, and we’d love to see you there.

An Easter feast: photos of the Hat Parade

Paper mâché, tissue paper, paint, cardboard boxes, tape, glue, feathers, flowers, fur, fabric and a million tiny chicks are all packed up for another year. The glorious Tufnell Park School hat parade has been and gone… but we still have our memories. Check out the new Easter Hat Parade gallery on this site and see if your child’s/ family’s/ crafty cousin’s handiwork has been immortalised there. And thank you, everyone. The HSA only provides the prizes for this event, but the delight is universal.

Judging winners is a nigh-impossible task, but our LEA governor, Cllr Kat Fletcher, rose to the challenge.

What tells us Easter’s on the way?

Hold on to your hats, everyone, for Hat Parade has come round again: Tufnell Park’s finest moment every year. The show kicks off at 2:00pm today, and the hall will be open from 1:30pm for parents and families to take their seats.  Breathe in – you know it’s going to be a squeeze.

When the funds come rolling in…

Nothing screams, "Easter!" like a chocolate krispie nest.

Great result for the Nursery and Aquila class at Friday’s cake sale. Shrugging off any possibility of end-of-term fatigue, they brought in some fantastic cakes and raised £137.60 to share between them.

We’ve also got the final figure banked for Sports Relief from the whole school’s efforts the previous Friday. The total raised was £290.52 – well done, everyone!

And now, to Thursday’s Hat Parade, Tufnell Park’s legendary annual explosion of creative madness. Fire up the glue-gun and let’s give Mr Baldwin an epoch-making send off.

Do it for your classmates (and yourself, of course).

And we're ever-grateful for staff support, too! (It's tough but... it's for the kids.)
