Wear Something Spotty this Friday for a suggested £1 donation. All money raised will go to the Children in Need Charity.
A big thank you to everyone who supported the Fundraising Friday last week for Cygnus and Nursery. The sale raised £105.50 to be used for the early years classes.
A reminder that the PTA will be holding an open meeting to discuss fundraising plans for the Winter. This Friday (9th Nov) after school in school, childcare will be provided. Come along and share ideas on supporting our school!
Have you booked your babysitter yet for the Race Night parents social evening?
Wondering what a Race Night is??
We have 8 races for you to bet on. Choose a horse number, pay £1 per bet. Half of the money is put into the fundraising pot, and half goes in the winning pot. We play a race at random and see which horse wins. Those who chose the correct horse share the winning pot between them. You bet one race at a time, while enjoying a drink from our cash bar. It wouldn’t be a proper Race Night without … dressing up, and the person with the best hat wins a prize (kindly donated by Drivers and Norris)!!
Tickets available from Andrea, or you can buy online via https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/racenight – don’t forget to leave us your name so that we can put you on the guest list at the door.
We hope you are enjoying your half term! Here is a little advanced warning of some dates coming up:

A MASSIVE thank you to ALL the helpers, cooks, and face-painters, the performers, and especially to Sandra Ibrisim, (School Home Support) who organised the event. Here are a few reminders of the evening including the welcome banner made by the children. The full gallery will follow.
The school was filled with delicious food from around the world cooked by our wonderful parents, carers, teachers and friends of the school.
“Tufnell Park: Our Story” with a huge world map and the poet Paul Lyalls was very popular. There were painted faces and wonderful crafts and poetry provided by the Czech School Without Borders, London.
KS1 performed their tribute to Great Britain, with KS2 following on with a Turkish song and then KS3 took us to the Caribbean with their Mash Up! The finale was provided by some lovely Irish dancers who kindly gave their time to round off some great entertainment.

You could have heard a pin drop at assembly on Friday morning as the whole school listened to children’s poems inspired by their family history – memories of special places, traditions… and food!
Poet Paul Lyalls is working with children and parents this half term as part of our long-term community project, TUFNELL PARK: OUR STORY, supported by the PTA.
Look out for Paul at International Evening on Thursday 4th October (although in truth, he’ll be hard to miss). He’s helping out next to a giant map in the school reception area, inspiring families to share stories of their history in Tufnell Park – and far beyond.
