News from the summer fair planning meeting on Wednesday 18 May

There were ideas and enthusiasm a plenty at the summer fair planning meeting on Wednesday evening. (Specifically for those parents and carers who can’t make evening meetings and are busy during school hours, the next summer fair planning meeting will be at school on Wednesday 15 June at 3.3opm, with childcare provided in Cygnus.)

Very excitingly, the first prize for the raffle has been confirmed as an Apple iPad Air Wi-Fi 16GB, generously donated by our sponsors, estate agents Drivers & Norris http://www.drivers.co.uk

As usual there will be heaps of fun stalls. In keeping with this year’s Wild West theme, ideas in the pipeline are tin can alley, panning for gold, rope a steer, cotton candy and gold nugget popcorn, crafts (including fantastic leatherwork crafts) and Wild West face painting at the ever popular spa. There will also be Bluegrass music, a cracking BBQ and snacks, ice creams and drinks for all the hungry and thirsty cowboys and cowgirls.

We still need loads of volunteers to help with the preparation and run stalls on the day so please come along to the meeting on 15 June, speak to any of the HSA committee or email tpshsan7@gmail.com if you can help.

We are also still very much in need of a reasonably priced bucking bronco and a caller for square dancing, so if anyone can help with information about those please get in touch.

We are also on the hunt for as many gazebos as possible so if any of you have a spare one that we could borrow for the day, please do let us know.

Thank you!
