Children in Need: the fun starts now

Put those down, Mr Scarborough - you're supposed to WIN them!

Put those down, Mr Scarborough – you’re supposed to WIN them!

Remember the days when children would bring their teacher a nice, polished apple? Mr Scarborough thought the times were moving along nicely when he found a massive jar of sweets on the school reception desk this morning – but alas, they’re not for him.

Guess the number of sweets in the jar is one of our fundraising activities for Children in Need this year, and you can make your guesses (50p each) in the school lobby from TODAY.

Mr Scarborough has also offered his office, his services as Deputy and any polished fruit available to the lucky winner of our Be Head for a Day competition.  50p tickets are on sale at the school gates (Tufnell Park pupils only) and the winner will be drawn at assembly on Friday 14th November.  Of course, we’ll all be in our nightwear, because Friday 14th is also pyjama dress-up day (£1 per child). No excuses for being late when you don’t even have to get dressed!

Please bring cakes, cookies and other baked goods, too, for a cake sale after school. Last year, we raised £577 for Children in Need: that’s a lot of cake (okay, it wasn’t all cake).
