Some truly tiny curators helped hang the “Literacy through Art” exhibition on Friday (this one brought assistants).
Confess it, no-one knew exactly what Mr Shuttleworth was driving at when he proposed “Literacy through Art” as one of the HSA’s Learning Treats this year. But after an extraordinarily rich, week-long programme that immersed the children in wordplay and illustration, we finally got the idea.
Take a look at the school website’s news section and class blogs for a snapshot of the full range of activity that HSA funds supported.
On the final day, when the hall had been transformed into a gallery by our tireless premises staff, a team of volunteers – thank YOU! – helped hang the exhibition of what the children had produced all week. Delphinus provided cupcakes. And it was truly wonderful.
- The whole hall was crammed with interest – so much to see.
- We even imported glamorous grandmas to help.
- There’s a whole lotta love among volunteers at Tufnell Park.
- They were pinning against the clock.
- They’re checking out blogs – of course!
- Some of the work was pretty mind-bending.
- Staving off collapse, Mr Shuttleworth surveys what he unleashed…
