What the HSA Committee talked about…

Want some answers? Why not come to the next HSA Committee meeting, last Wednesday of the month!

We’ve got to expand! The HSA is more active than ever before and we need extra help in central roles. We decided to make committee meetings more regular – the final Wednesday evening of every month – and to publicise them widely, because everyone at the school is welcome to attend. You just need to let us know beforehand so we can choose the right venue (home or school) for the expected numbers. So put Wednesday 26th March in your diary and watch out for further notices.

Learning Treats got off to an excellent start with Maths Week: feedback has been universally positive. To help us focus on what works best, we discussed getting more structured feedback for the subject weeks to come. Teachers are starting to put forward ideas for further Learning Treats – thank you, Mr Shuttleworth! – and we’re delighted.  Send us your inspiration!  Of course, that goes for parents and carers, too.

To fund all this fun learning, we need to keep the funds coming in. The first contribution from Easyfundraising arrived, and Weight Loss Club has raised more than £700 so far.  The donation page is open until 11 March: can you help get the total up to £1,000?

We also used HSA funds to help the school football teams with their own fundraising efforts, resulting in a total of £325.00 for new strip and kit.

Next meeting: update on developments in the Infants’ Playground, and a date for the Summer Fair.  Yes, it’s that time already…
